I was looking through my Topps 1975 set today (because I'm really trying to make a point of actually enjoying my collection, instead of just amassing cards), and first I remembered that it's my favorite set of all time: colorful, lots of players for each team, team cards, great subsets, name, position, team on the front with no logo, good stats and tidbits on the readable back -- just great. But I digress.
I got to the MVPs subset, with a picture of the Topps card for each MVP from 1951 to 1974, and highlights of those players' MVP years on the back. Oh, how I love that subset. I wish they'd do it again or do one for Cy Young winners or something. It was just so cool. Now they take up all the card numbers with Future Stars, and Prospects, and Prospective Future Stars, and Future Prospective Stars, and Rookie Stars, and Prospective Future Rookie Stars, etc. But I digress again.
Anyway, I was wondering, does anyone else have some subset they just loved? Not to spoil it, but candidates that come to mind are the 1974 Hank Aaron Specials, the 1972 In Action series, any particular Post Season play series, an All-Star set, the Sosa/McGwire HR sets, etc.
Just asking to pass the time.
