“ Minor league baseball! Always happy to see minor league cards pop up on RCOTD. I miss Procards. Just about every minor leaguer got a card and no parallels, and relatively inexpensive. ” -davidhandberry
“ Nice minor league card. Like it. ” -captkirk42
“ You would think that having the Fleer name on the card would mean the minor league set would look better than the typical minor league set. But then I remembered - card design wasn't one of Fleer's strengths. (I'm an old Fleer fan, too - always liked the simplicity of their designs.) ” -bpaul14
“ On June 5, 1993, Dan Peltier batted seventh in the lineup in a home game at Arlington Stadium against the New York Yankees. This game was to be a career highlight for Dan Peltier. Bottom of the 3rd, Texas ahead 3-2. Two outs. Two runners on. The Yankee starter was struggling. On a 3-0 count, Dan Peltier hit his only major league home run to give the Rangers a commanding 6-2 lead. The tables quickly turned for him later in the game. He would be most remembered for two fly balls that he did not catch in a damaging six-run seventh when the Yankees took a 9-6 lead that would not be relinquished. According to the New York Times, Peltier was charged with an error on a Mike Stanley drive to the fence that cut the Rangers' lead to 6-4. Three batters later, with the score 6-5, he had a decent chance to corral Hensley Meulens's 3-run triple to the warning track and failed again. In an attempt to redeem himself, he opened the bottom of 9th with a single, but was stranded three batters later. ” -jayoneill
