I sell my cards at a price that is 73% of the Offical RAW Pricing Guide. You get a 27% discount and automatic profitability. My cards go back as far as 1958 (which is a Hank Aaron. I have cards in all Major Sports and even some WWF Wrestling cards. I have complete set of TOPPS from the late 1980's to early 1990's. I've been creating my list of cards and currently its over 12K of cards with a reduced value of 21K. I still have many cards to go, including my 2 Walter Payton Rookie Cards that are a MUST for any serious collector.....1 is Near Mint and the other EX/MNT and N/MNT. Look up the current pricing on those and multiply by 73% you will see the profit you will have immediately with this collection.
I was an owner of a card shop at one time and my time is now with my 4 month old grand-daughter and her future. I'm willing to listen to any reasonable offer.
Thanks for your time,
BRICS HOUSEOF CARDS

What is the "Official RAW Pricing Guide"? I am not familiar with that. What company produces this guide?
Thanks.

The Official RAW Pricing Guide became SPORTSCARDSPRO website. In their pricing methodology they remove corrupt sales data so that someone sells a card for an outrageous price and buys it from themself its not factored in....or even if somebody else buys it. Most of those sales happen on EBAY and though they do use some of the EBAY sales they are very careful not use the fraudulent sales.

What would these three run so I understand how the site works:
1972 Topps #679 Vg
1973 Topps #613
1977 Hostess #134 Vg

So the subject line is misleading, "...BELOW COST". It's not below cost, but below current pricing.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

The Official RAW Pricing Guide is a pricing guide that in its methodology excludes sales that are lets just say appear fabricated. Example of that could be a sale on a site that shows a card, which has sold for a few dollars and there is a sale of that card registered for $150. What many may not understand is that people will post a card for sale knowing it won't sell and buy it themself under another name to attempt to validate an asking price for something of no value.
FYI - I use this pricing guide and validate the prices to the level th.ey are in alignment with several other sites/resources such as SportsCardsPro, who also uses this same methodology.

In response to your pricing question of the three cards you mention.
Astros' Rookies #679 1972 Topps VG - $4.12
Rookie Catchers $613 1973 Topps - didn't state condition, I will assume VG - $3.83
Steve Braun Hostess VG (Assumptionn on my part here as well that it's handcut) - $0.45

Valued...fine. But some are below the cost I paid for them so not entirely. Not to be rude, but you have no idea what I have paid for cards so you make assumptions without validity if you want to go back and forth. Some I paid one cent for ....be pretty hard to sell a card for less than that....but again you don't know anything about what I've bought and spent so my prices are well within line and much better than many. So why concern yourself over what another individual is doing with their prices unless its undercutting your outrageous asking prices on EBAY.......good luck in your selling & trading

I get the point that is trying to be made here. 73% of a guide that most members here aren't familiar with or possibly don't have access to means that it's going to be difficult for members to know what your prices are. This most likely means you might get little or no interest in your post because your reference point seems obscure. Do you have a link to the pricing guide you are using and is it free for someone to click on? That might help make your pricing more clear for anyone that may have interest.

This website actually started out as just pricecharting.com. Which actually is great for video games and those types of stores do use it. They have games' sold history pricing for used, complete in box and unopened. I have no idea what the statement "The Official RAW Pricing Guide became SPORTSCARDSPRO website." is supposed to mean when knowing the history of pricecharting.com which is still around.
They then started an off-shoot with just basketball cards as a test and now apparently have expanded to other sports as well as comics, coins etc. I haven't touched games in probably over a year and have never used it for cards though so I cannot speak to its usefulness or accuracy, but if it's the same as their video game site used to be, then it should be good. Though now it appears they have a membership level and have added in buying/selling.
That said, that still does not equate to "entire collection for sale at below cost" unless your store paid full retail on your entire stock.
