Good day everyone!

Finally finished adding all the cards, I have found so far in the basement only took a few month but its over now.

Have some questions with trying to finalize all of it before pushing that for sale button. I know there are a couple different variations of some of the cards out there, mostly those 80-90s cards, which are some of the ones that don't have a price on this site and looking on ebay some of the are just nuts with their prices.

Just finished today making an excel sheet for all the cards with missing prices in my collection but there are still a bunch that I can't find anything on which are mostly memorabilia or low numbered cards. If I knew how to attach it here, if possible, I would do that.

So these questions:

1. How to price the cards without anything listed?

2. How do you price the low numbered or 1/1?

3. How do I sell this whole collection in one shot or is it better to sell in grouping or singles?

4. This one is a bit off topic, is there a site like this for coins/paper money?

Collections gotta go, need to pay these bills and tired of lugging it around.

For questions 1 and 2 your best bet IMO is looking at recent sales not listings on eBay of those cards, except the 1/1 of course. Best bet there is find a comparable 1/1 and try to use that to get you in the neighborhood…at the end of the day you’re only going to get in the neighborhood on 1/1.  Q3 again just my opinion but I think you’ll do better piecing it out in similar lots or 1 by 1…it’s going to be time intensive and labor intensive, but I think if you’re trying to maximize your return that’s your best option.  Also, just my opinion, the values/prices listed here are way way off from real world sales, especially recent sales… example…I pulled an ohtani insert recently listed at $40 here…most recent sale on eBay for $10.  You may get other better opinions along the way…but this is how I see it.  Good luck in your liquidation! 

Awesomeo1398 is right about #3 in that piecing it out and taking your time would get max value. However, if it really needs to go and you're not caught up on value so much you should list it on Facebook marketplace, Craiglist or bring to a card shop and see what they'll take for it. It really depends on your urgency.

You maybe should have asked some of these questions prior to putting in the work entering everything but, if you are looking to sell everything from a fairly large collection selling here on an individual basis is probably going to take a lot of time as far as someone interested in each individual card as well as packaging sales up and mailing them out. If you aren’t in a hurry that may not be an issue. Maybe a member near you might offer to buy everything and pick it up. As others have said you could try Facebook marketplace.

The pricing excel sheet I made took the averages on ebay, amazaon (which seems to suck for cards), COMC, 130point, and the Collx app (if they even exist on there) but some of the prices are out there, example is the 1991 Upper Deck NFL with the 92 hologram, seen prices from 50 cents to 5 dollars for a base.

Ebay listing is at $500 but can't find any sold unless I'm just not searching the right way.

I use to sell on ebay back in 2006-2009 before going in the USAF but the fees have become crazy high on collectible items, could explain why people are selling base cards at $1 each.

I have tried the marketplace but most of the time people want past sales history or feedback from people who bought from you, which is understandable. Time isn't really an issue at this point. Wife said she would like the to go by the time our kid is age 5, just turned 2 this year so got some time.

Another avenue on Facebook would be to join some of the groups for collectors. There are multiple groups for junk era, vintage, specific sports, etc. that are buy/sell/trade. Those sites are designed for buyers and sellers to do just that so they may meet your needs better than here.

Apologies if this is obvious, but when searching eBay for sold items, do an initial search for the item and then scroll down and look at all of the filters on the left side. Pretty far down the list, in the "Show Only" filter section you can select "Sold Items" and/or "Completed Items" and then you can tell in each listing detail if the auction completed (including number of bids), if a best offer was accepted or if it was listed as "buy it now'.
