I used Beckett magazine for several years to look at prices but realized that they are made up numbers when the magazine was printed. If player A came up and had a great first month his card prices would skyrocket. Then it would take months for his cards would come down in price if he started playing terrible or was injured. Also I was never going to sell my personal collection so I never really cared about the prices. 

I used to look at the Beckett Annual but the printing was so small that I couldn't read it. Then came along TCDB and that is all I use for my checklists. 

Plus, here on TCDB We have easy access to click on the current data of  The Card You are looking at for COMC, eBay and a few Others!  We are truly Blessed as Trading Card Collectors!!

I don't have a Beckett guide. I rely mostly on market prices as determined by items previously sold, especially in auctions.
