I’m relatively new to the community.  I have quite a few items to get added to this website.

When it comes to listing things as complete sets and/or unopened material, does the system take into consideration those things with trade matching?  Would it be worthwhile for me to go through and say I’m looking for unopened packs/boxes of every 1980s TV/Movie set?  Or does the system never consider matching anything like that?

I started to add to my want list Unopened packs (5) & Unopened Box (1) in each set I’m interested in.  But after doing that for 1980 and 1981, I don’t see any matches being made.  And I’m aware that its just as likely that nothing is available in any of those sets, I also don’t want to sink a lot of time setting my want list for each set if it won’t actually produce any results.

I have listed in the FS/FT forum that I have unopened packs over the years.   I have had no replies to any of my posts.  Never thought about adding them to my FS/FT list as I did my sets.

If you are interested in New Kids on the Block, I have a lot of them.

As of right now, the system for trade matching on unopened product and complete sets is not really up to par. The system was designed for single cards for single cards. There is a request in the New Feature Tracker area for better trade matching on other items. Not sure when Admin will (or can) get around to it.

I would love to trade for unopened baseball packs that I don't have, but as Budler mentioned, there doesn't seem to be as much a demand. I imagine people just buy what they want and open them. I also imagine that shipping packs is likely more expensive than cards given that they're not likely going to fit well in a PWE.

That's exactly what I do, open them when I get them. Never really considered possibly trading them (or for them).
