Hello all, long time no type. I have been hiding in my alter ego oilerRCguy all summer working on that backlog. Did not quite get finished but am a lot closer. So some news to fill you in on. After a VERY long time we are going to start doing breaks again. Same senario as last time with some shipping changes due to Canada Post, no more PWE allowed. Sorry. I will be posting breaks on here as per usual but I will also be posting on Twitter AND now on Instagram. Things will be up in September after the "summer" season is over and I am finally getting work done on my new office. The sooner I can get back on board the sooner C2Cigars can start getting "free" stuff again. LOL. I will have the same three but also a tad of basketball. I am hoping to buy some Bowman Chrome Jumbo Hobby boxes in the future so some of my breaks will have some pretty good stuff. I am still NOT working and just rolled over my 4th anniversary since my injury. Had a second surgery in June but was deemed inoperable and now have a ZERO lb weight restriction. All three of my professionals are going to write letters on my behalf as i try to get some kind of back pay out of my CPP disability. I now need a full replacement that I am not scheduled for until I'm 70!! Yup 19 years of this crud. If I can get some backpay that maybe JUST maybe the CREATIONS side of FPC&C will finally get the kick start it needs as well. I hope all are still looking for the smaller breaks, but alas I still need to break even/make something of its a moot point. Sorry I have been gone for a year, but I told you all it would be that long. Thanks for being patient.

Welcome back good sir and thanks for the update. A snippet of that update caught my attention...what exactly did you mean by: "...some shipping changes due to Canada Post, no more PWE allowed." ???
I scanned CP's news releases and I don't see anything about new package restrictions...unless I am looking in the wrong spot. Let me know when you get a chance - thanks, Rick

So as of January 1st, CP changed the rules that only PAPER can be sent in an envelope. If a card is detected it "will" be returned to sender as non-deliverable. How strict they are I have no clue but I had to redo two envelopes back in the early spring as they would not accept. Bubble mailers or Photo envelopes only now. So because of the risk in doing breaks I can no longer send cheaply in binder pages and envelopes. Better safe than sorry. Leave it to Canada Post.

I still send almost all of my stuff by PWE and never get a hassle. Once every two weeks or so I am asked if it's just paper and I say yes but I never heard that card stock wasn't paper...

I was sending 20-30 cards in pages in an envelope so you can understand the hassle. I’m sure you can still get a small amount through the cracks.

Wow - I have NEVER had any issues sending out PWE's and I have never even had a CP clerk ask me to confirm whether the package contained "paper". Interesting. At least I'll be on high alert and informed in case I do get asked the question. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, cardboard/cardstock is paper. So does that mean you can't send birthday cards through lettermail? How does CP define "paper"?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have not had any problems with PWE. Of course I do my own postage on those and don't put a return address. They all get delivered (other than one that is somewhere in a USPS facility).

I asked that exact question C2 and they say that the cards are obvious. Whatevs. They never explained how they can tell honestly, just asked me off hand what was in them and I said hockey cards. That is when they explained this to me. I will ask for a way to confirm this new rule as I have not been sending much as of late.
