Burbank Card Show at the Anaheim Convention Center

coming up in a little over a week - 8/31  to 9/3

the third show after the first in Burbank a year ago, which was 200 tables

the second was in Ontario on Super Bowl weekend, and was 400 tables

this one is 800 tables!!!!  and should be the biggest LA show since the last time the National was in Anaheim in 2006

I've been following the promoters. [Rob from Burbank & EJ from Dynasty Mode]  it's 200,000 square feet, with corporate booths from most of the majors on the first floor, and dealer tables on the second floor.  

there is a TCG space on the first floor, and kids under 12 get in free

from what I see, it's very close in size to the National as far as dealer floor space.  it doesn't seem to have a breakers pavilion or an autograph pavilion so overall  1/2 the size?  [ we will see ]  The National has the sports card dealers, memorabilia dealers and corporate booths all mixed together,  Burbank is taking a different approach.

nobody going to this show next weekend?

Thanks for letting us know about it. I went to the National when it was held there in ‘06 and got to meet my favorite player of all time, Frank Robinson, who signed my Oriole cap for me.

Thinking about it, but feel like I have "enough cards for now" that I haven't entered into TCDB.  Need to pause the accumulating until everything is in order.  There was a small show in Camarillo this weekend at a new collectibles shop there -- looks like they are planning to have them monthly.

Camarillo needs a good shop and show, since Marks [?] crashed and burned.  I just read something about Collect-a-Con in Long Beach this weekend.  A couple years ago I once went to a Long Beach show that was mostly coins, and a bit of other stuff, with about 20 tables with cards, I don't know if it was collect-a-con or something else.  I know the Long Beach Stamp & Coin show has been going on for at least 30 years.  Anyhow, I saw that BGS was advertising they were at this Long Beach show, and running a special that you could drop off cards for grading this weekend, and pick them up at the Burbank - Anaheim show next weekend.

Wow, that would be great!  I'm in Ventura so I do hope they make it a regular thing.

Store is in Camarillo called "More Collectibles Shop".  Check their Facebook or IG and they post their flyer about their show there.   My friend went and said it was about 15 dealers.
