I always pull the cards before sending an trade offer. This helps me not offer the same card to another trader if in putting together multiple offers. I know there is a list of cards already offered at the top of the list, but by pulling the cards I can avoid this earlier in the process. My suggestion would to do a pre-proposal message to the other party if you don't want to pull the cards 

I always try to verify my cards before accepting the offer as well. However, in this case I think. “change” button would be better than a Confirm button. 

I did not read all of this. I will try and go back. My 2 cents is adding more steps just brings more confusion or steps that can be missed. We have a simple process in place with all needed steps. Communication as the trade moves forward before Accepting is the key. If you are concerned about having the Cards...DO NOT PROPOSE OR ACCEPT BEFORE YOU PULL THE CARDS.
