Well, here I go again, trying to find a shortcut :) .
The only way I've found so far to try to configure a fair trade is a very manual effort. For example, I've just got a "match"- somone has 2 cards in my wantlist! So I look for matches in my For Sale list to their Wantlist- and there's MANY! But I can't see them all at once- in fact, with like 15 sets of mine in this user's wantlist, I have to go through each set one-by-one to see what's there. And, by the time I get to the third set or set, well, I've forgotten what I've already looked at! So it seems like I have to write everything down as a I go...and even still, I have to click on each card to get an estimated value.
SO...alll that said...is there an easier way? In a perfect world, I'd like a view with matches on either side, which show info about each card, including "TCDB" median value so i don't accidentally try to rob someone :) . Does something like that exists? Or what other methods have others found to try to configure "fair" trades? Thanks again!!

Go to the user's profile and click Trade matching.

Not sure if this is what you are asking, but I propose a transaction to the other person, then pick all the cards on both sides. This way you can see the trade on both sides and decide if it is good for both parties.
If it doesn't work out, I just cancel. If it does, I send it.

Haha, perfect, thanks! My eyes blew right past them and was just clicking on the "Match..." links!
Glad I asked, even happier you answered!

Thanks for the reply! It was more about determining a fair trade based on cross-matches, and, as you can see by the prior reply, the view I was looking for was there all along!

For those who haven't used this feature much. I believe that when the feature picks a match you might see only a couple of specific cards that for example, match your for sale/trade to the want list of another member. Sometime if you go to tat member's profile and match lists you may find out that you actually have a pretty large list of matches.

Be careful about using "TCDB" median value
You see it all the time, cards over priced even with links and some under priced also. Just had a sale that one of the cards was listed here at $24.99 plus shipping (E-Bay sale) and you can buy it on COMC for $2,00.

Have you used the site-wide Trade Matching Report yet? That is absolutely my favorite way to initiate trades!

When a long list of cards on my trade list matches with another member's want list, I typically select the cards I'm interested in of theirs and just one random card on their side so they can counter with whatever they're most interested in. Saves me the trouble of checking values on both sides of the equation and saves them the trouble of deleting a bunch of matches that they're less interested in. Just need to make it clear in the message that it's not meant to be an even trade offer and you're expecting a counter.

This is what I generally do as well as I find it hard to guess how people value cards.
As a warning I have had a couple of people not like it as I am deemed to be "lazy" for not sorting out their side too and one person sent out a flat out rejection saying something like "why would I send 12 cards for one crappy common".
Not sure how they managed to get to the messages section and send a reply without reading the explanation message I had sent but each to their own!
