How many members here are willing to do quality for quantity trades? Or quantity for quality trades?
1. Getting one good card for a number of cards. I feel most members will do that
2. Getting a larger number of cards for one good card. I'm not sure how many are willing to do that.
I have been on both ends of deals like that. It appears all members have been happy with them.
You can even throw in:
3. Or just getting cards you want for cards you do not want. No matter what the value is?

Been on all three sides of such deals over the years.

I could definitely do #1 and usually do #3. I would also do #2 but it really depends on the cards coming to me, which is probably an obvious statement. I don't really want to get ten 90s commons for a good 80s rookie card, but might be willing to do ten 90s fun oddball cards of stars or ten modern parallel/inserts for that same 80s rookie. Depends on the mood sometimes.

So a couple of cards that have been involved in such deals:
- coming to me Terry Bradshaw RC
- going out Earl Campbell RC

I completed my 1983 Donruss set by asking for the Sandberg RC and offering the inidividual to select what he thought was a fair exchange.
As mentioned before, not big on trading HoF RC for several late 80s and early 90s commons that I will most likely find in any large buy. But offer me some decent cards in exchange for what you want and I will consider it. It is not so much about $$ but about the players on the cards; you want Gwynn or Mattingly cards, offer me some Boggs, Yount, Sandberg, McGwire cards in return. And if you want any of their RC, then make it worth my while to consider. This also goes when asking for vintage cards. If you want to trade for / collect vintage, build up a stock of traders in those years like we vintage collectors have done.
This is not an issue with 95% of the traders on this site; but yes there are a few who think a card for a card is fair especially when they are getting the RC of a HoF for a no-name common card.

I would be game for all 3.If I can get what I need and help someone else out, it is a win, win trade. That said, I would not trade a Brees auto for a couple 90's Score football.

In most cases, I am OK with these types of trades. There is just an occasional trade that I don't feel matches up as well. However, most of the time I am pretty willing to work it out with other members where both sides can get things they want and be fairly happy with it.

I think the big thing is that for me it all depends on who I am trading with. First time dealing with an individual I may be stricter on how I trade. If it is someone who I have dealt with or has been highly recommended to me by people then I don't care how the trade goes as long as it is asinine.
