With a heavy heart I have decided to sell my Miami Dolphins trading card collection :-(
I have seen that I could mark every cards as "For Sale / Trade". However I only want to sell them and ideally as one bulk and if that does not work then at least in bulks of many cards.
Is there any way to mark the cards as "Sale Only" so people are not disappointed and I am not swamped with Trade offers (granted anybody is interested in the cards)
The collection consist of 10.999 (!) different (!) Miami cards. It ranges from 1966, the very first year of the Dolphins to 2012.
The collection includes among others
209 autographs, including Dan Marino, Don Shula, Bob Griese, Jason Taylor, Mark Clayton, Zach Thomas, Jake Scott, Larry Little, Wes Welker, Ryan Tannehill ….
243 Memorabilia cards, such as helmet, shoe, jersey, stadium seat, goal posts, face mask, game ball cards
1.210 rookie cards, including Dan Marino, Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Wahoo McDaniel, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Ronnie Brown, Wes Welker, Chris Chambers ….
1.236 seriel numberes cards with a low numbering of up to 10

You can still use the Transaction Manager to conduct sales. In your Profile place a statement tha tyou are selling only wand any other discussion points. A potential buyer can still match up to your list and instead of offering cards in return they can free text an offer price. If you don't have anything on your Wantlist they wouldn't be able to match cards and offer a card for card trade. By still using the TM when you make a sale you can use that functionality to remove cards from your Collection.

Welcome to the forums and the database.
The trade/sale list does not designate which it is. Most people seem to be traders. As jimetal said you will need to add a statement to your profile that you are selling only. That will cut some of the trade offers out. Except not everyone reads profiles so you will find yourself repeating "I am selling only" When people make trade offers you can then respond and remind them that you are selling only not trading.

My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

You are half way there. One of the more effective ways here is to create a post in the sales forum and list your cards for sale. I don't believe this site is the best way to sell a collection. I would consider a local auction house or some Facebook selling groups. Selling here may take quite a while.

You may want to allow members to match their want list to your collection. On your profile mark this as a Yes Allow other members to match their Wantlist to your Collection?
This would allow some one to see how many cards you have that matches their wants. If it is large enough and your price is low enough. They may be willing to buy all of them. I toke a little time (one player) and seen you have only a couple of cards I would be interested in but it would take a lot longer to see if there was enough cards that I would be willing to buy all of them.

I asked the same question recently except I'm not selling my whole set. There are just some cards I only want to sell. Then there are some that I prefer to sell but for the right trade I would consider it. It's something I haven't been able to figure out other than what has already been stated (adding a message to your profile). And when the trade requests come in I just say, sorry, I have this card posted for sale already or I'd really prefer to sell rather than trade. I hate having to do this as it might discourage people from submitting trade requests going forward but it is what it is...
It would be a nice feature to be able to add cards to FT/FS, FT only, or FS only, and have an additional matching tool (look up my wantlist comp'd to other users' FS/FT, or their FS only). But it seems others have wondered the same and no tool exists yet. For a free site it would add additional layers of complexity to users' collections DB aspect of the site so I understand and not complaining.

Greg Maddux, Ronald Acuna Jr., Cole Caufield, Kemp Alderman, Noble Meyer, Eury Perez, Josh Norris, Pokémon, Lorcana, Disney Chrome 100, A&G Mini Sets Almost everything in my main collection is FT/FS even if it is not listed in my traders!

I second this. I'm sure there are people here that do buy and/or sell but most that I've seen only want to trade.
Ebay is good for selling individual cards but the cost of shipping any distance cuts deeply into any profits if you are selling larger lots that have a lot of weight to them. Facebook marketplace or finding local card shops that might purchase or consign would be the best options as it would be all profit and you wouldn't need to worry about shipping..

Has anyone put in a New Feature Request for this? If so maybe you should link it here so members can vote on it.

Sorry for not replying earlier, we had some family issues the last weeks which completely blocked out everything else.
First of all: many thanks to verybody answering, I really appreciate your support
I will give it a thought how to best do it. To "ease" matters I also live in Germany which makes shipping "interesting"
