I'm on a Quest to collect all Cecil Fielder Cards produced. Just wondering if anyone else collects just 1 player. What are Your reasons?

Its very common. If you seach Cecil Fielder with the TCDB search tool and go to his player page, you can see where you rank among other Cecil Fielder collectors in terms of the number of different Fielder cards you have.
I have a big Roger Clemens collection from when he was with the Red Sox. Just recently organized it and got back into adding to it.

Do you mean that is all you collect?
That sounds pretty unique unless you are a relative.
Many of us collect as many of certain players as we can. Some are called super-collectors trying to get everything. I picked a guy with less than 100 cards to try to do that for, Charlie Lea. No real reason except he had a couple of very good seasons with the Expos 40 years ago and he doesn't have many cards and all but about five of them he is with the Expos, cards I am trying to get anyway.
editing to add that he also has no 1/1's because I used to try to collect Steve Rogers that way too but he now has a few one of ones that I don't aim to target.

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

I supercollect Evan Longoria. Closing in on 4,000 unique cards. Pretty much have 90% of all of his cards from 2006 thru 2017. (Not including 1/1's in that calculation)
Sold off my collection several years back, mostly early 70's late 60's. Wanted to get back in the hobby, but not too heavily so thought I'd go with a player collection. Little did I know how things had changed. Didn't realize there were so many card companies, all the parallel and insert cards, auto's, relics, etc.
Evan was the Logical choice for me since I had always been a Rays fan since their inception and he was the "Face of the Franchise". Loved watching him and cheering him on even before I got back into collecting. Plus it doesn't hurt that by all accounts he seems like a likable, upstanding and all around good guy.

I collect all things baseball but am really only targeting Twins and Kirby Puckett. Up to 300, but I really started going after him a year ago.

I collect Archie Manning and Shaq, besides my Saints. I got to play catch with Archie back in 72 at one of my dad's company picnics. Shaq was in the same dorm as my brother, and my wife knows who he is. (She's Korean) She knew about him from his comercials that she would see when she was growing up in Korea.

I collect Herschel Walker. Not big on his politics of late, but I have so many different cards of his that I decided to keep going with it.

There's no intrinsic value in cardboard, but there's a lot of value in doing something you enjoy!

I collect any player with the last name Chamberlain. Focusing on Wes Chamberlain from the Phillies. Only because we share the same last name and im a Phillies fan. When I get as many as I can I will move onto another Chamberlain

Anyone collect all they can of one card of one player? I have seen on line where a collector has a binder full of someone like a 1987 Topps Will Clark.

I believe I have the world's largest Hut Stricklin collection, with over 32,000 total cards covering his 400+/- unique cards. I have a several hundred Tom Peck cards and a handful for a few others I find interesting for various reasons, but Hut is far and away my main collecting interest.
