So in May we will start hosting trade night with a $2.00 entry fee into the building.
What is some things we can do or ideas to make it more fun?
We could probably host 200 people max.
It will be 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday Nights once a month
Thoughts folks?

Sure it is a local church and a fundraiser for it.
we started to invite people to the event. and that is currently the location that we are in.
So ideas are welcome

Welcome to TCDb! I've seen some trade nights offer raffles where everyone receives a ticket for a chance to win prizes such as unopened boxes/packs, a team bag of goodies, a high value card, sports memorabilia (signed jerseys, baseballs, etc.) or tickets to a local event. Depending on what's available, you could either give out a single prize each event or multiple prizes throughout the event (small, medium large). Additionally, you may require anyone who wins to be present to claim their prize, which helps keeps the attendance throughout the night. You could also offer some food and drinks (supplies limited). Maybe talk to a local pizza shop about the event and ask for a bulk discount if you order X amount. Hope that helps!

I think the pizza idea is great. Maybe even sell slices or hotdogs. Since we really don't have a budget to start I was looking for other ideas too.
I will ask the stadium of minor leage baseball players for maybe free tickets to help out. to watch this summer ..
The be present to win is a great idea as well.
Thanks for the response.

Up here in Wisconsin when I think of funds raising ideas I think 50/50 raffle.

A fun game type idea would be to do pack wars.
Have two participants each open a same product (maybe like a 2022 Topps retail pack) and the person with the highest numbered card gets all the cards.
Not a fund raising idea but a game to add some fun.

A LCS did a trade night for years and they had a box break that you can buy into.

Door prizes/raffles
Try to get a sponsor like a LCS to offer discount coupons or product to use
Give everyone 5 commons at the beginning of the night, and see who can trade up for the best card ("bigger and better")
Definitely sell reasonably priced food/drinks
