Was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on discarding cards that have bent corners, creases, scratches, etc. As a former brick and mortar store operator I was always careful of trading or selling cards that were damaged in any way. I've always been that way and am still today. I've discarded many cards with issues that I thought were not worth selling or trading. Throwing cards away makes my wife very happy but not so with me, I would be glad to send those cards to anyone who wants them, no trades or selling, just free cards as long as shipping is covered, Your thoughts.

I generally give my damanged cards to my 4 year old. He loves getting some cards and he is not kind to card condition yet. I see that you live in Catalina, AZ. I'm about 30ish miles away from you. I wouldn't mind driving over sometime to pick them up if you are just going to get rid of them.

I have thousands of cards that I'm going through. We're recent transplants from Oregon so all my cards are in storage. Going through them daily makes me happy (retired) but not my wife because I can sit for hours cataloging and putting them here for sell or trade as well as ebay. Don't know how many trips you want to make this way. I can do small batches or thousands.

Then consider me a 4-year old. I gladly accept lower quality vintage, common or HOFers, and even some modern cards with minor condition issues depending on the set. All I ask is that I be informed of such.

I'm the same way. I buy 3200 count boxes of various sport cards from a local dealer in my area. Often, they're filled with assorted Donruss and other cards with fuzzy corners, creases, or other forms of wear.
I toss them with no regrets!

I collect ALL Chicago Cubs cards no matter the condition, year, brand. I'll pay for shipping, handling and a little extra for bulk low grade Cubs. Thanks! Jade

I'm less picky when it's cards filling out my PC, but base cards I'm only holding on to as trade fodder I'll toss. Doesn't feel right, but I'll do it.

I am holding mine currently because if it is a higher value card then a crease or bad corner means nothing. But commons I will probably hold for my kids to play with.

I use damaged junk wax era cards to scrape my plate after eating. Helps with not getting clogged pipes.
