Threads like this might be an indication that this site should seriously consider removing the supposed values attached to various cards.
There was another poster on here not too long ago, who also was trying to sell a collection based on TCDB “values.” When a couple of people pointed out that the values were not realistic, he responded defensively that he was just going by what TCDB said, and should not need to change anything in his pricing.
In that case, the seller just appeared to be naïve rather than a scammer. But when the site attaches pricing to the cards—often wildly inaccurate pricing—it attracts would-be sellers who are either extremely unrealistic or scammers, or both.
I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me find a 1998 Bryan Braves (non-perforated) Kerry Ligtenberg and a 2000 Nabisco Albertson's Astros Chris Truby.
