I now understand the frustration of some of your parents in trying to teach some of you proper, simple respect for others. Yesterday 3 PWE trades come in; 1 has the trade information in it. The other two, I am left sorting through 12 other trades to find out who could not be bothered to include the trade # in the trade. If I did not keep an excel spreadsheet of all my trades, the task would have been much longer and frustrating than it already was. But we tried to get people to think of others and had Admin put in the mailing info box, the tip to include the Transaction # in the package. I guess that is too difficult for some; either that or they can't read and comprehend simple english. On this point, I give up.
The other beef I have is, am I the only one who packages the cards I send in the same order that they are listed in the trade? Though I enjoy sorting through a large lot of cards I buy off whatever selling site there is, when I get a trade, it really is nice to be able to go through the cards and check them off in the same order as they are in the transaction manager WITHOUT HAVING TO SORT THE CARDS FIRST! When you receive trades in the mail, don't you appreciate those that are sorted over those that are not? If so, don't you think that the recipient of your trade would appreciate the same thing? Is this so difficult???

Yep. What he said!! Been covered before but continues to happen. Frustrating. On the positive side, to those who put the transaction number in the trade package and the cards in order......THANK YOU!

As careful as I am about various things, I recently sent off a PWE to Canada without the TCDB transaction number and an ebay sale occurred over the weekend, and when I packed it up, I forgot to include the packing slip (which was already printed).
Mistakes happen. Even to those of us with the best intentions.

I don't always put the trans. number but I always put my TCDB user name. That should be just as easy to look up as the number

That works just as well. These I got could only be identified by the number of cards I received in trade and referring to my spreadsheet.

I try to send out all of my pkgs with tags for my Trade ID's but sometimes it just slips my mind and goes out without any. I feel bad afterwards but it is what it is. I never think about writing it on the envelope afterwards either. I really should start thinking about doing that. Hindsight I guess....

Good thing there is the transaction manager to cross-reference!
Yes, it is confusing when someone accepts a proposal and gives nary a thanks, note in the package, or word afterwards. I mean we're all sharing a love for the same hobby.
Unless a trade involves hundreds of cards, sorting shouldn't be too much of an issue. We all collect and sort differently, though it does help to have your 'trader' collection sorted in the order found within this site. Maybe it will bug me when I eventually receive a huge batch.
Doesn't everyone love to count cards on a rainy day, though?

I never have an issue because I generally have no more than 1 trade going on at a time. I try to remember to add the transaction # because I know some members trade heavily. My point would just be to keep in mind that we have a large membership and all have different levels of trading experience and activity.
If I were a fairly new member and was looking to trade with you sandyrusty I would probably be a little hesitant due to how often I see you come and complain about your trade partners. Please don't take this wrong. I am only suggesting you keep in mind some of these things and to point out that you could drive away some potential trades with your posts. Maybe you don't care? Again, I was just offering up my view from someone who uses this site daily and has for a long time and has made quite a few trades but is probably considrered a less active trader.
I do understand your point and agree that it is a nice courtesy to remember to include the transaction number with your trade.

I'm with you sandy, it is very frustrating. I currently have 15 in progress, so it's hard to sort.
For the most part I print off both sides of the trade right off the screen so my trade partner can see everything, and include that in the envelope.

I could probably buy the already complete sets cheaper somewhere else, but I like getting my maildays.

I'm guilty part of the time but I do try to use the Transaction #. I don't need it as I'm usually focusing on mailing addresses as that was the habit established prior to the transaction # feature by the address.
But the random inclusion of cards is somewhat bothersome. Recently I found some traders order the cards in a backwards way - maybe they're lefties, but if I were to put the cards in a stack from those partners, the cards would have to be place face down, otherwise I'd be checking the order from bottom to top. (But I am pleased that at least they are in order.)
