I fall into all categories, player, team, and set.
For sets, mostly hockey, but also some early 90's baseball (Pinnacle, Upper Deck) and Upper Deck CFL inserts / parallels

I could probably buy the already complete sets cheaper somewhere else, but I like getting my maildays.

Definitely a set collector. As for modern sets, I like the Topps Gallery and Topps Heritage the best. I think it might be fun to complete the 2018 and/or the 2019 Heritage set strictly through trading here. Topps Archives are good. I like the flagship base sets, but I seem to get a lot of offers of 2020 or 2019 flagship base set cards for inserts, high-value cards, vintage, etc.

I love to trade! Check the top couple of paragraphs of my profile to see my general trading desires. If you're uncertain if I’ll take a certain trade, message me and we can figure out something.

Likewise, also fall into all 3. For sets mostly Baseball and Star Wars. Looking to complete Topps, Update, Chrome, Stadium Club and Upper Deck sets. Along with any Twins.

I'm a set collector. However, I'm probably not much help to you. I collect soccer, very little basketball, hockey, and baseball. I hardly collect football anymore.

Player collector and Set Collector, Modern not vintage. my "sets" collection begins in 1995, though I have become custodian to some older stuff.
I enjoy the challenge of working on more difficult sets. Insert and parallel sets. Rarely work on a base set, unless it catches my eye.
I don't collect a huge amount of sets, just a couple per year on average. And then some years none at all.
Mostly baseball, but the occasional Basketball & Football.
I have been picking up cards that seem like someone should want them, to trade them, for 25 years. ... and not much luck in making trades until the past year as a member of this group.

For me and MY 2 sons, Now my youngest is starting to collect. Easiest way to say is we collect anything and everything. WE are all into different sports and teams and I am Big Non-Sport collector. I try to finish as many sets as they come. But when we see another we like we try for it as well. Always willing to trade if we can help each other out.
