My problem is finding others who have an equal number and wants and offers to make a larger trade.  The lagest ones I've made so far are roughly 100 cards on either end.
That said, I'm also hesitant to want to make a large multi hundred card trade with someone who isn't well established on the site.  If I lose out 10 or 20 cards, no big deal but when I'm out a few hundred cards, that's a problem.

An update to the trading costs since the new year began.

In trades, I have received (or still in transit) 5219 cards since January 1, 2021.  Of those, in trades over 150 cards received (9 trades - 4,325 cards received), the cost per card against my postage costs is $0.039; in all of the other trades accumulating 894 cards, the cost has been $0.097 per card received.

The worst economical trades are those of 75-150 cards - it would be cheaper to send several PWE.

The most economical are those over 1,000 cards. Cost does not vary much once over 900 cards; it pretty much was the same for 945 cards or 1,326 cards.

I also noticed that the larger trades seem to cost more for US postage than for Canadian postage.  This is not even considering the exchange rate in currency.

As an aside, at the rate of trading set in the first 2 months of this year, I should easily eclipse my numbers of cards sent / received for 2020 which were both over 10,000.

There are members here that will not do PWE.   I have been turned down on a few 3 and 4 card trades because of the cost of shipping.  As one said   
"Sorry to decline your offer as it is not worth shipping that few of cards.  If you can find others that you need I will be willing to do a larger trade."

There have been times when I have wondered if it is worth it to trade 1 for 1. (exception of higher dollar stuff).    If you figure in the card you send the postage, envelope, top loader
