I have been in the process of building a 1962 Topps Master set.
In my research, it seems that there are only two versions of card numbers 110-196 (the green tint series). The only exceptions are Hal Reniff #159 (which has only one version) and checklist 192 (which was given a 3rd version due to an incorrect drop shadow (listed as version ‘a’ in the database).
On the current database checklist, there are a number of cards that are given three versions. However, all cards that are designated with a ‘c’ are actually the same as those with the letter ‘a’.
For example, the variation on Angels team card #132 that has the coach inset photos IS the green tint version.
The same holds true for #139 (in which there should be 4 variations, not 5 - two for each player), 147, 174, 176, and 190.
It could be confusing for set builders thinking there are more cards to find, and let’s face it - 1962 Topps is tough enough to build!
