“ Looks like he’s contemplating his decisions. Or trying to remember if he left the oven on. ” -Derek McDonough

“ I'm guessing the guy at Fleer in charge of stat and text placement did not have a job the following year? I know the Fleer set for that NHL season was just as horrendous to look at. ” -Theron_Nett

“ Not a fan of this Fleer design, though I will admit the matching designs for each division is neat. Brian Williams later became Bison Dele, and his disappearance and presumptive death is a wild story. ” -tenlbpain

“ MMK basketball card. European version OK. ” -captkirk42

“ Should have called it Fleer Double Vision. I hate when they use the same pic on the front and back. This one takes it up a level using the same pic twice on the front, then the same pic twice on the back. Ugh! ” -muskie027

Quite a clumsy design, as if there were a couple of things they were tying and couldn't make their mind up.

I just realized this was a European set. I compared it with the Fleer set released for (I'm guessing) North America and those look somewhat better, but still a mess. And the NHL set I was referring to was the 1994-95 set. I didn't see one released for 1995-96 (probably a good thing). Thank gawd Fleer Ultra was nowhere as bad as the regular Fleer sets. Jeez!
