“ OK looking card. Not a fan of chrome cards partly for this weird way they scan as seen here. Also am very much against the way Bowman draft cards are numbered it confuses me every time. Even when I figure out how the number and letter combinations for card numbers works out, when I have a card to identify it still takes a long time to find it an any checklist. ” -captkirk42

“ Refractors are another of the new-fangled things introduced to new collectors . . . Truth is, I can't stand them . . . They remind me of the Kellogg's 3-D ards from the 70s . . . Great in theory, horrible in practice . . . ” -georgecf

Maybe I'm just old-school, but who would collect gaudy out-of-focus sets like that. Topps, in particular, has put out no more than 3 attractive sets in the last 20 years.

They are "out-of-focus" because of the Chrome "technology". Personally, I haven't liked anything about Bowman since the mid-1990s. Okay, I did buy a bunch of 2004 Bowman packs and boxes in baseball and football, but everything after that has just become confusing and useless. Bowman really needs nothng beyond the base set and a Chrome set. All these stupid "Draft Picks" and "DP&P" sets and Chrome parallels and crap is just too much. I have absolutely no desire to buy ANY Bowman products anymore and they are just completely confusing for no reason. Topps really needs to stop with garbage releases, AKA duplicates of everything released by them for the past decade. It wasn't a surprise at all that Fanatics bought into the card world and quickly bought Topps. Sadly, I don't expect anything to get better in the future as I've hated what both companies have been doing for several years now. Neither company cares about quality, only about quantity and pushing it out as fast as possible!!!

Huh. This is my second COTD in the last week. I'd previously had 3 in the last 6 years.

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

Being a chrome and refractor makes it look even more weird when scanned.
