Wonder if he is any relation to Jim Gentile who played in the 60's?

I wondered the same -- at the least, he's NOT a son, according to SABR:

"[Jim} Gentile had previously lived in Tempe, Arizona from 1971-79 before moving to Edmond. He has four sons (Steve, Scott, Bo and Tony) and one daughter (Tori)."

A local baseball team. My dad remembers going to see them when they were the Yankees affilaiate.
