“ Nice simple set, big contrast between UD and Topps. The back of the rookie cards in the set, like this one, with no stats, feels empty. ” -abide

Am I the only one who thinks the photo looks a bit odd due to the positioning of his arms?

At first glance I thought this was an Oakland As card, why do green Rays jerseys exist?? ------------------------------- Related to Hobie Landrith, the Mets 1st pick in the 1961 expansion draft.

...Because those were the TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS, baby! The back of this card made me chuckle because I remember being ticked that they traded Julio Lugo and his (.308 BA, 12 HR, 18 SB) to the Dodgers. BTW, Lugo hit .209 with 0 HR for the Dodgers the rest of the way. Andrew Friedman was just getting started.

2006 UD was an undaunting set to build. For me, still putting together the series three or update portion.
