Random Card of the Day

Of course this racing card gets comments from people that don't really know what they are looking at. Race Kings is the opening subset to the Donruss Racing sets (and is the 1st 26 cards of the set - same as the old Diamond Kings baseball cards). But these were short-printed and then followed by the Rated Rookie cards that are also short-printed. Fits the old Donruss model perfectly and this was the 2nd year of Donruss Racing cards. This card is actually the Gold Foil parallel. I like the Race Kings subset and it looks good on all parallels too. Last note - this is NOT an "Insert Set". It's a parallel of  base card. Unfortunately for me, this card is still on my wantlist.

Also, it's funny how the COTD on my birthday is of the person whom I own the most cards in my entire collection!

I was thinking the exact same thing, but they don't appear to be quite as short-printed as 2017 Donruss was. I was unaware of the fact that the Rated Rookie cards were short-printed from this set as well. Also, a very happy birthday to you and maybe that card will find its way to you soon.
