“ Nice looking 1990s card. But UGH that foil logo bottom dead center I think it is the Donruss Logo. I think the base cards had the same problem that year. Back, I have a problem with full color photos on the back of cards. ” -captkirk42

Ths is my all-time favortite player! I have hundreds of his cards but not this one. Man, I miss the 90's!

A good back to the card with the front being a bit dull, though it is a press proof. Another reason why I am not a Donruss fan.

As a Blue Jays fan, I saw him as the leader of the team that won the World Series in consecutive years. It is when he arrived on the scene that the team came together and played as a team. Though there were many pieces that caused this to happen, Cito Gaston as the manager being another key piece, Carter was the "Stargell" of the Blue Jays on the field. His series-ending home run was just the cap to his great contribution to the franchise.

Though Alomar was flashier, Carter was a better leader on and off the field.

By the way, the card is nice but another one of those parallels from the early beginnings of the hobby changing from collectors to investors. "Wow, a Press Proof; it must be worth something big!"
