“ With regard to this card, and cards like it, such as triple threads ... where the relics don't seem to be different in any way is it a double relic? or is it a single relic with a die cut pattern placed on top of it? One reason I lost interest in relic collecting. ” -abide

“ This is a nice card. Plus a game used jersey card. This shows how nice it would’ve been to get mem cards back in the day when they were game used. ” -cardcollector65jw

“ Raymond Felton. There's literally nothing to say about this man. Had an average career. Although it was long, it was uneventful. Wasn't a bust, wasn't a steal. Just meh. ” -NickyCollects

“ Somewhat early relic card. Nice design. The white mesh and the design of the "windows" for the swatches at first look reminded me of window drapes or fancy French curtains, or maybe something you would see on a bed canopy. ” -captkirk42

“ Nice looking jersey card! ” -muskie027

“ Probably because I grew up in the '60s, I hate Game Material Cards and any other nonsense . . . A sports trading card is a sports trading card . . . Give me the card, you can keep the shoelace . . . Oh yeah, and Get Off My Lawn!!! . . . ” -georgecf

The era of the UD & Fleer game used materials, such an added touch lost in so many of today's fabric releases. Even the card design was more appealing than most of more modern.

@abide,

Most of the time it is two individual pieces. They usually just cut the materials into 1 inch squares. Maybe they have some kind of plan when they first get the "uniforms" or equipment of how they want to slice it up for the Relic cards. I would think they would make the best use of the pieces when they start cutting them up. Imagine how much "trimmed" material is wasted after they have cut the full jersey, or pants, or glove up.

Nice that it's game worn as a lot of these type of cards aren't always.
