Set: Topps Heritage - 50th Anniversary Buybacks (Rate)

Card: #40 Dick Groat

“ this might be the best Topps product buyback stamp. it's a nice stamp, compared to 2017 Flagship Rediscover Topps buy backs, perhaps the worst stamp. however, I read a thread, that looked at a card like this with the comment: F Topps for ruining a nice card with that stupid buyback stamp. I'll split the baby and say: I'm pretty sure they didn't stamp and ruin any EX cards, jus some average condition stuff, so it's not awful ” -abide

“ I like buybacks. Wish they were more common in my sports. It would give me something new to chase on sets I've already completed. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I love buybacks. I wish Topps did more of them. It’s a really great way to expose younger fans to older players that they otherwise would never have heard of. ” -pugchump

“ Is this a miscut ” -mkb

“ OK Topps I love vintage cards over the retro homage Heritage versions, BUT I DO NOT Like STAMPED BUYBACKS. I would be cool with buybacks if they didn't ruin them with silly stamping. Or stamp the back not the front. A stamp on the back would still devalue a card but it wouldn't interfere with the front image/design. It might interfere with any attempts to read the back stats info, but there are many different types of stamps that could be used to keep the interference to a minimum. Actually in this case the stamp looks like a vastly supersized shoulder uniform patch. Not all images benefit from the positioning of the stamp. ” -captkirk42

“ Cardinals! He played three seasons for St. Louis, leading the league in doubles in one of those seasons. He also won an MVP while with the Pirates. Didn't realize until this card showed up and I looked him up that he went to Duke University, so I assume he was pretty smart ” -Brimose

“ I know from past posts there are mixed reviews of these, but I like them! I just checked a box price on eBay...ouch! ” -bkklaos

“ Great card. Loved the auto space on the back ” -parsley24

@parsley24; That's not a space for an autograph. That's where the answer to the question is hidden. You rub the area with a coin and the answer appears.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Can't say I'm a huge fan but they tried hard.
