“ I like the card, but I'd like it more as an insert. If everybody is a "Star", is being a "Star" special? ” -jackal726

“ "Topps Stars" was an interesting concept. I'm more familiar with baseball than football. 1998 the base set was SN9799, and then various parallel sets with lower SN. 1999 they dropped the SN, but grew the number of parallels. At that time, this might have been the Topps se set with the most parallels. I think that the card design is the problem. There is something about it that makes me say: "meh" ” -abide

“ Nice big star on the front. ” -Brendan Barrick

“ An OK card design. The back reminds me of the early 1990s "Wild Card" brand/maker, very bare bones info on back. ” -captkirk42

“ I get it. Stars. Very subtle. ” -muskie027

Interesting concept but I can see why it didn't catch on.

Nice looking cards, Good action shots.. Like the back design. But I think they missed the Boat. Would have made much more sense to be an insert design.
