“ This seems like a weird color scheme choice when you have an established "gold" variation every year. ” -jackal726

“ Base card is great. Parallel--why. ” -cjjt

“ I love parallel cards. My familiarity with them is not the best. First time I have ever seen / heard of, this parallel ” -abide

“ 2002 Topps during my semi-absence from the hobby. When I first saw them a couple of years later I hated them because I thought the overproduced years hadn't yet ended. I eventually got to like this set. Team Advantage variant. UGH. I forget what the "advantage" was for these. Also not a huge Diamondbacks fan. ” -captkirk42

“ Oof, what a rough set. Bell was a pretty good player. ” -crushnmove

“ The color of this set has always bothered me, baby poop is not a good color. ” -Corky

“ As a TCU player collector, this isn't one of my favorite cards, but I love seeing it pop up in the RCotD. Go Frogs! ” -jlamberth

“ Jay Bell sort of looks like that 8th-grade math teacher who tried too hard during the teacher's softball game. The one that brought his own cleats. ” -Soarin22

@rmpaq5

Bell's arm is blocking the Yankee style "only the logo on left side chest" that the DBacks had as an alernative jersey then.

Ahh the nostalgia.  Bell scored the winning run for the Dbacks in the 2001 World Series. He was also very good for the Diamondbacks in 1999.

I liked those jerseys way better than their "newer" ones

I actually got the regular version of this card signed when he was rehabbing in Tucson that year.  I remember him staying around signing for a while after the game and talking with the fans that were there long after the rest of the team had left the field.

I love 2002. It's got a great border and I love the backs of the cards.

I love the borders on this. I thought it was a parallel at first. Nice looking card.

On of my least favorite sets. Spicy Brown Mustard borders.

I have to say I think I prefer the back to the front.

This actually is a parallel... I think. The Home Team Advantage was only sold via certain dealers that signed up to Topps's program. I remember reading about it at the time but I don't remember all the details since they didn't do it for the NBA.

I can't remember if it was a parallel inserted into the base packs or a separate, stand alone release like the 1st Edition sets were.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
