Year: 2006

Set: Topps Heritage (Rate)

Card: #213 So Taguchi

“ The So-man! Massive home run in Game 2 of the 2006 NLCS. Fantastic role player on some really good Cardinal teams. ” -vanstryland

“ Great looking heritage set. The perfect card set. ” -parsley24

“ Love Heritage. Am getting a little tired of these repro sets since Topps is oversaturating everything with retro sets. I prefer Heritage to Archives. Archives has no rhyme or reason about which sets are reproduced for the modern players and newer cards of vintage players who were playing at the time of the design that was used. Heritage usually does well with reproducing set details. They however get carried away with the parallels and the intended error cards. ” -captkirk42

“ Cardinals! So Taguchi was a terrific fourth outfielder for us for a few years. A true fan favorite, he would even bow to the umpire on each plate appearance out of respect. He made his MLB debut at the age of 33, so his US career wasn’t as long as it could have been, but he remains the only Japanese born player to win the World Series with two different teams (STL in 2006 and PHI in 2008). ” -Brimose

“ That guy is "So" Taguchi! I will never, ever, forget the home run he hit off Billy Wagner in the top of the 9th inning in Game 2 of the 2006 NLCS to give the Cardinals the game winning margin. Love this guy and love this 2007 Heritage Card! ” -bpaul14

Like the look of these cards, but the text color is horrible.

Another retro look card. Good photo but the writing doesn't quite work.
