Year: 1998

Set: Donruss (Rate)

Card: #329 Matt Clement

“ Started 30 or more games 7 years in a row. Solid card. I guess it's a road game. Can't imagine needing a long sleeve shirt to pitch in the daytime in San Diego. ” -chvlDm

“ Clean no-border designs are always a huge plus! Sadly another forgotten Padres player like all except Tony Gwynn over the past 25 years. ” -baseballcardstoreca

“ I like the team colored stripes at the bottom. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ much better than the 88-91 run of gross looking cards. ” -parsley24

“ Late 1990s Donruss. Not as fun as early 1980s. UGH foil lettering under the Rookie rainbow it took me almost a minute to barely make out part of the "Clem" of Matt Clement and then assuming that the lettering under the stars is indeed his name and then at the bottom it took another minute or two to figure out it says "Pandas" um "Padres" At top the Donruss name is almost legible but then again I recognize it from other Donruss sets. Back terrible. Photo too large for what is there. Bio or whatever the paragraph there is looks like the print is way too small. Bad back. ” -captkirk42

“ Good front, below average back. ” -davidhandberry

“ I remember his fastball having a lot of movement as a rookie. ” -volbox

“ I was out of the hobby at this time. I always like Donruss sets. This one has potential just by looking at this card. I'll have to take a deeper look at this set. ” -muskie027

Late 90's-Early '00s Donruss cards are sharp. Also, gotta give a shoutout to Butler, PA resident Matt Clement!
