Year: 2010

Set: Panini Absolute Memorabilia - Retail (Rate)

Card: #72 Louis Murphy

“ Except for the use of the same picture on the front and back this is a great looking card. I wish MLB would let more companies do licensed sets. I miss Panini and the other card companies that tried to be creative. ” -davidhandberry

“ Nice card if you like a lot of useless border. ” -NJDevils

“ OK design, but to be honest Panini is spread out too thin with all their football products and the all the designs are starting to look alike. I thought this was an old Prestige card. Still wish the backs had full stats not just one year. ” -captkirk42

“ This is bit boring. Bottom part is not bad, but right border is too wide. Maybe needs more color. ” -Duke

“ not bad, what I always liked about absolute is it was so easy to tell the hobby and retail versions apart ” -Thunderfoot

“ Scan by gb24. ” -Kirbythedodger

“ I do NOT like sets where the retail and hobby base cards are different. Too hard to sort things out. I do like the Absolute sets otherwise, although I don't think I have any of these 2010s. ” -switzr1

I’m not a big fan of this boarder for a football card. Feels more like hockey with the slanted angle. It’s trying to be cute but it doesn’t work for me. I’d rather see the player then a wasted boarder space. Back of card stats are iffy and very little information to learn about the player. I don’t think this card works on many levels. It doesn’t inspire me as a collector or as a fan.
