Card: #586 Rickey Clark

“ Simple but elegant design. ” -C2Cigars

“ Timely given this year's Topps Heritage set about to be released. I like it a lot. Topps really is my favorite and the older sets are just amazing. ” -muskie027

“ Ironic ... 2019 Heritage comes out in a couple weeks with the 1970 design. ” -Splinter_9

“ I have always liked the cursive writing on these cards for some reason. ” -awmckenz

“ Such a boring set. Cool to see an old card. ” -cjjt

“ Probably not the same Rickey playing for the Angels that you were thinking of. '70 Topps always sticks out like a sore thumb to me, especially considering how iconic the '69 and '71 designs are. A big, gray thumb. ” -Gapporin

“ Vintage Yes! Not my favorite vintage set, but I like it. ” -kirkscards

“ For an old set, not much going on here. No team logo and the designer of the back must have been an LSU alum. Though it is easy to read with full stats and a cartoon. ” -NJDevils

“ I've recently started liking this set. I like this photo a lot too. So I guess that settles it; I like this card! ” -switzr1

“ cant got wrong with cartoons on the back ” -Thunderfoot

“ Nice 1970 Topps card. I've always liked the simplicity of the set. Love the blue, yellow and white backs. 3 colors for a back of a card is enough, the dang 1990s gave us backs with tons of colors and now days they like using 4 or 5 colors for backs. Get used to this design as it is the one that if up to bat for Heritage this year. Next year this design will be 50 years old. ” -captkirk42

“ Sweet vintage card! Really like this set. Kind of interested to see what date this is CotD, as it is the set being honored in Heritage this year. Would be hilarious if it’s the same day Heritage is released. ” -IfbBirdsCards

“ Scan by iffie99. ” -Kirbythedodger

Not one of my favorite sets, but still beats 90% of the Topps sets since about 1990. At least I can tell it apart from other sets. But it is very....grey.

Love the 1970 Topps cards. I remember my dad buying me packs of these when I was a kid.

When not hosting American Bandstand or throwing a Rucus New Years Eve party, could be found pitching for the Angels. The 1970 Topps design was very nice and still holds up.

No doubt in my mind Detfan6897! I to was a collector of this card as a kid, growing up during this time period and did my fair share of collecting this set. I do like this set so much and hope it holds its own in design. Thanks all!!

I like the '69 and '70 sets because they are the only two major releases that feature the Seattle Pilots
