Year: 2008

Set: Bowman - Blue (Rate)

Card: #156 J.J. Hardy

“ It's decent. I wonder how many parallels of it there are. The SN Auto is always a cool RCOTD though. ” -muskie027

“ I like everything about this card but one thing. That is that it is a parallel. If this was the base set I would be all over it. If you look up 2008 Bowman there are 140 different sets, subsets, parallels and inserts. Compare that to 1989, the first year Bowman came back and they had 4. This year it is up to 229 and the year isn't even over. It was hard in the 90's keeping up with collecting players and/or teams, now it is impossible. ” -davidhandberry

“ I like this card, except I'm not a fan of facsimile autographs on cards. If it was an oncard auto it would be EPIC, or if companies would leave that light box on all cards for us autograph collectors it would be awesome. ” -Soldan

“ This is one of those Bowman sets that I have mixed feelings on (actually I am mixed on most of the Bowman sets). I like the design I can take or leave the parallel borders. What I can't stand with Bowman is how they number things. This being a straight number without the BPPs or CPPPPs is the "base" set, well the blue border parallel to the base card. Not the "draft" variant which I guess is 156DP or 156DPP depending on if it is draft prospect or draft rookie prospect or draft prospective prospect or CPP the Chrome prospect Rookie Prospect. ” -captkirk42

“ I like it a lot. A parallel, serial numbered...win! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Like the blue border. Both front and backs are well balanced. All in all, a nice card, imo. ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ Not bad, but instantly forgettable. It feels like a generic Bowman card. ” -royals
