Random Card of the Day

Year: 2000

Set: Pacific (Rate)

Card: #305 Ed Yarnall

“ Nice looking card reminds me of Fleer cards. ” -captkirk42

“ Not a true rookie card. ” -carthage44

“ A player who was drafted by both of the New York baseball clubs. How many guys can say that? I love the look of this set, by the way. ” -mkaz80

“ Young Ed's looking awfully cocky considering he'll end up pitching 20 major league innings. Gave up 5ER over 1+ innings in his final big league appearance, but Bronx bats took him off the hook for a loss, scoring 8 in the bottom of the 2nd. Generally a nice looking card, though I feel like something's missing on the back... ” -dilemma19

“ To me a noteworthy set because it's one that included Olerud (#282) on the variation checklist, with "action" and "portrait" versions. Otherwise, a very nondescript set. ” -olerud363

“ Yankees pinstripes look great on anyone. Even Ed Yarnall. Whoever he is. ” -Sportzcommish

“ 90% of all the rookie cards in the 90's to early 2000's never had half-decent careers ” -Bargunmaster

“ At first I thought "Wow that is a ton of unused space on the back." Then thought since it has a rookie label on the front others in the set would have more information in that gaping area. Should have stuck with my first thought. ” -rmpaq5

See I like the empty space. It makes everything more clean looking. As a life-long Yankees fan, (late 90s was my heyday of fandom as well) I have to say that I do not remember Ed Yarnall at all.
