“ Good scan. I've always liked this design. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Aside from the white card stock, I really liked the panoramic stadium shots on the backs of 92 Topps. I never really paid attention to the way the border wraps under the photo, making it look like Billy's popping out of the card. The gold parallels were subtle and not too tough to chase. ” -dilemma19

“ I like the 1992 Topps but not the "gold" version. I don't like foiled text. Fortunately the scan is good and you can read it, sometimes even in real life you can't read the name too well, or only at a certain weird angle to your light source. ” -captkirk42

“ Gold parallel. Booooooooo!!! ” -switzr1

Not big into Gold parallels, but this was neat at the time, and easy to obtain. It's Topps, it's all good.

Could never see the point of having a frame if the player is sneaking out and behind it. But a nice card.

I'm not much for parallels, but the 1992 Topps set in general is a very important transitional set between the bubblegum card era and the modern era of Topps baseball cards.  Although bubblegum was no longer included in packs, the cards were still made using the old style card stock--except with white instead of grey. The following year, Topps would go all glossy front and back. The Gold sets replaced the old Tiffany sets as the Topps elite cards, neither of which I took a part of. Base set have been my thing since day 1.

Not a fan of the gold--too hard to read. Gotta love Hatcher though! Hope to see him this weekend at Redsfest!
