Tuesday, September 27, 2016Year: 1985 Set: Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 1 (Rate) “ This is the kind of card that makes me say I collect some non-sports, instead of all. I don't know why these were ever popular. I feel about these the way Carthage feels about NASCAR. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ Garbage Pail Kids were appealing as a kid because the cards were edgy. Now they seem tame but the puns are still on point. ” -ketchupman36
“ I disliked these cards back then, never cared to keep, buy or trade for one. ” -volbox
“ Being a young kid when these came out, some of these cards were very creepy and scary. ” -carthage44
“ I don't know how I feel about cards with unrelated backs and fronts. I like both the front and back of this card. ” -dilemma19
“ YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! ” -SFC Temple
“ Cool ORIGINAL GPK sticker/card. For some reason people have a problem grasping the concept of the numbering for these. They have 2 variants for each sticker that uses the same number sub-numbered with "a" and "b". The same image is used for both stickers but the character name was changed so the same image is used for two "characters". I'm pretty sure this format was used for all the GPK series. Oh and like many other Topps non-sport series the numbering continued from where the previous series left off. ” -captkirk42
“ Classic ” -RoundtheDiamond87
“ Topps and their wonderful numbering system.....arrrgghhh! ” -NJDevils
“ I feel like I shouldn't admit this, but I was a young kid when these came out and I LOVED collecting them. I have no clue what happened to the collection I had, but I wish I could find them. I really liked how each picture had two names. These were always fun. ” -muskie027
