Year: 1991-92
Set: Stadium Club (Rate)
Card: #244 Chris Nilan
“ Great early Stadium Club. First year for Hockey, I think, but I don't know hockey very well. Loved the concept of the rookie card on the back. Didn't work out so well when they did it in the NBA set as most of the players had entered the league since the last Topps release of 1981-82. But I loved the concept anyway and it helped me learn more about the league when I was first starting to collect. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ KNUCKLES !! One of my all time favorites . I like this set too. ” -uncaian
“ The 91 series of Stadium Club takes me back; great memories of friends, card shows, inappropriate jokes and bad fast food. ” -SFC Temple
“ The players rookie card on the back is a nice touch. ” -carthage44
“ I like these early Stadium Club sets for some reason even though they lack the team name and logo on the front. Not even the player's position on the front. The backs were always cool with the player's Topps RC. Could stand to have more stats instead of just the one year but whatever. OH and the backgrounds for the backs are too busy for backs. ” -captkirk42
“ Knuckles Nilan, though he doesn't look quite right as a Bruin. Apparently the 1991 SC Baseball design was well received, so why not reuse it for a hockey issue. ” -dilemma19
“ I know Stadium Club sets are supposed to focus on the photography, but a team logo wouldn't hurt. ” -rmpaq5
“ Loved the idea of the 'rookie card' on the back. It's only the real rookie if it's the first Topps card, though. ” -wax_house
“ 2783 mins of penality in 632 games... that means he fought almost every game! That's a warrior! ” -PMB
