Year: 1995-96
Set: Topps (Rate)
Card: #147 J.R. Reid
“ My first copy of this card is the first card I ever traded for! It was 5th grade, and by then I had already been collecting for 8 years, but none of my friends did. That changed that year when my mom brought home a pack of basketball cards as an Easter present for me. Needless to say, it changed my life. I eventually upgraded the card but I still have my original that I traded for- and I'm still friends with the guy I traded with to get it, at least on Facebook. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ That front font is brutal. ” -wax_house
“ Love the dew. ” -carthage44
“ JR, great guy to have coming off the bench. Was a fan of his in both his stints with Charlotte, though he didn't quite turn out to be what some had hoped for at the time. The odd font, and cock-eyed placement ruined an otherwise decent design by Topps. Backs were solid. ” -Doc Floyd
“ I like the overall design but not the text on the front. Too hard to read. Seems funny to see him in a Spurs uniform even though he spent more time with the Spurs. I think I just have his Hornets rookie card burned into my brain. ” -Mitch
“ Too much foil lettering. Actually the front design and the back remind me a little of UD Collectors Choice, which I thought this was at first. Back info hard to read and his photo too big, card number should be a bit bigger. ” -captkirk42
