Random Card of the Day |
Sunday, May 31, 2015Year: 1999 Set: Topps - Record Numbers (Rate) “ I like this card. Looks like fireworks, which are one of my favorite things in the world, along with baseball. And they have an actual statistic to justify his inclusion in this set, a rarity in that era. (See that "Future Champions" card a couple days ago) ” -switzr1
“ Too bad Griffey couldn't stay healthy. If he had, it would have been interesting to see where he would have ended up for career HRs. ” -duaned99
“ Should have known this was a late 1990s card. I like the basic part of the design but the fireworks background is too much for me. Back is OK. The front should have something about what sort of record it was. ” -captkirk42
“ Great insert concept. A cool design, and it's based on the sport's history. A win in my book! ” -Billy Kingsley
“ For an insert set, this is ok. If this had been a base set, no way. And at first glance, I thought it was a Pacific product. ” -vrooomed
“ If injuries didn't slow him down in Cincinnati, he very well could have been the career HR leader! One of the prettiest swings EVER! ” -carthage44
“ Record Numbers? Is Topps talking about the record number of overprinted cards? ” -NJdevils
“ The M's haven't looked as good as their blue and gold days, but I'm glad they brought it back for an alternate. ” -jlaz10
“ My parents moved to the Seattle area when I was six months old...consider myself a Seattle native...Jr. just one of many reasons I have fond memories of area I will likely never live again! ” -bkklaos
