While it is the most popular sport in the world, it is nowhere near the top in the United States/Canada. And I'd wager that the USA/Canada makes up a huge % of card collectors in the world.

Cricket is popular too, but not in he US.   So is field hockey in India, Pakistan.    Don't need cards for that here.

 US/Canada make up most of the cards made. Countries that follow soccer normally have sticker collections. They've had them over thirty years.
