Card: #TTFR-16 Ryne Sandberg

“ SWEET CARD! Always liked the Game Used Bat cards. I am a White Sox fan but I have always been a big fan of Sandberg. ” -carthage44

“ Very cool card, but they should have gone with a capitol E...looks like Ryno instead of Ryne on the card front. I notice there are two different pieces of wood based on the grain as well. Probably three, separated by the stars. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The picture on the front is from later in his career, while on the back is from the 80s on the road. ” -jlaz10

“ I like the design of these memorabilia nickname cards. ” -suomibear8

I think it is supposed to say Ryno since that is his nickname.

Yes, RYNO is correct since that is his nickname.

Yup, the Ryno was probably on purpose. I don't love game used memorabilia cards--just not my thing, seems gimmicky. But since he's my all-time favorite player and led to my first trip to the HOF to see him inducted, I'm just happy this card exists. V3

Not a fame of GU either.   Stamping out the "O" for Ryno was probably a lot easier then stamping out an "E".   I wonder if when these guys a get haircut is a guy from Topps there sweeping up the hair?  Or is the barber selling it on Ebay?    Probably hair and fingernail clippings will be on cards soon.

One of the Phillies relievers was out of baseball for a couple years and in that time learned to be a barber, so Sandberg probably gets his hair cut by him. If he messes it up Sandberg sends him to the minors.

There are some drawbacks of being clueless, as I am with baseball. It makes sense now...

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
