Random Card of the Day |
Tuesday, August 20, 2013Year: 1986 Set: Monty Gum Wrestling Stars (Rate) “ Seriously I don't even know what to say ” -Young Kilo
“ I was 12-13 years old, and I would stay up until midnight to watch WWWF Wrestling on Channel 9 in New York. One of the memorable villains was Baron Von Raschke, who would goose-step into the ring with a Nazi cape on. When he applied his "brain claw" to finish his opponent, the TV producers put a giant X on the screen to obscure the "horrific" sight. Of course, in real life, he was a Nebraska high school amateur wrestling champion by the name of Don Raschke who sometimes moonlighted as a substitute teacher. ” -Dave Sosidka
