I thought of submitting a poll:
Do you partcipate in polls?
o Yes

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

This one was interesting to me because it is all about perception. Some people feel they only paid $1 for a card (not considering there was shipping), whereas others felt they paid $2 (when in reality, it was $2 in both cases).
Frankly, I went with the $1 + $1 shipping, b/c on ebay, one gets charged tax on the ending value of the item but not the shipping cost. So I am only being taxed $1 vs $2 (so a .10 savings based on my location).

if it is on eBay the only real issue between the two is how much the seller gets soaked. If it is $2 with free shipping then ebay collects less (just the listing and 3% sellers fee) as opposed to $1 &$1 shipping eBay collects listing fee, 3% sellers fee and 10% fee on shipping.

What’s funny or sad about that depending on your perspective, is I was a Tax Mgr for a large company before my health issues became a thing. Sales and Use Tax were one of the items under my umbrella. I’d have thought that concept would have crossed my mind at some point before today lol.

And here in CT they are more than happy to take our money either way. Yes, they tax shipping as well; total cost of purchase.

The only difference I see is with free shipping, you can potentially save money by picking up other items from the same seller. Depending on the amount of cards and prices of course.

$2 plus free shipping. Because then there's no argument that I can enter a price of $2. on this site. Lol 😆

I thought the opposite way. Since free shipping is built into the price, every $1 card is gonna cost $2 with free ship. so 5 cards for $10 with free shipping
If I get a $1 card plus $1 S/H, I assume there will some form of combined shipping so the next dollar card costs me $1 + 25 cents shipping. So 5 cards for $5 + $2 shipping, or $7 total.
Although I agree with some others on there, this was a silly poll without more context.
Although I disagree with some on here, and they should keep the poll where it is.

Exactly, with small purchases, I am sending a message to potentially buy more. I can't answer this poll so I am sitting this one out.

I can't wait till mine comes around (not sure when that'll be, though). You guys'll find it entertaining, regardless of whether or not you like bad movies. ;)
