I remember attending a Triple A game in Edmonton AB when the Trappers played there. It was Michael Cuddyer bobblehead giveaway day but unfortunately he had just been called up. I believe he did all right in his first MLB game. Right after the game, I went on ebay and the first bobbleheads were already selling. The first one netted the seller $90. After that, the price simply dropped and dropped.

Yes, I still have my Cuddyer bobblehead.

I'm sure many of us remember Brien Taylor and Todd Van Poppel and Sam Horn and all those other guys who flamed out fast (at least in terms of card prices). I wish Mr Schneider all the best, but I do not expect that after three days of hype is a good time to "buy" on the guy. (I don't "buy" on anyone at all but whatever...)

Yes, I remember Kevin Maas. Hit HR early on; card prices skyrocketed. Then pitchers made an adjustment and he could not hit anything.

So many are like this. I do wish Davis all the best - a long shot being picked in the 28 round of the draft. Worked hard and it got him into the MLB. But no, I will not chase his RC unless he starts a string of seasons that might get him HoF consideration.

Looks like the Blue Jays are "chasing it" tonight...batting lead off after hitting third yesterday... not just card collectors who drink the KoolAid.

Given that they seem to be trying to keep Springer out of the leadoff spot these days, I'm not sure who was a better candidate to bat leadoff in that lineup, especially with Two-Hit Whit not starting. No Bichette or KK in there.

Saw the pricing for his 2021 Bowman auto when making my 2023 debuts list the other day and had to laugh. Less then a month ago they were going for ~$10 or less and now you see em at $250 or more. Love seeing the South Jersey kid have a good run, but we're buying in at that price point? Sheesh gang.
